| - I will not be staying here again if I can avoid them.
The wait in line for check in was so long that I gave up and went to the bar for a beer until the line died down. It never did, and evenings or mornings, never seems to.
In over 250 lifetime stays at SPG, I have never seen a front desk less welcoming or as slow at check in and check out. It would be laughable, unless you have dinner reservations or a meeting you might want to make.
Perhaps one day the Westin Price will hire enough staff to check customers into their rooms and not save a dime by spending my time. When I eventually got to be served and mentioned it, instead of getting an apology, the 'manager on duty' Clare, sternly offered to cancel my reservation and slapped down my credit card on check in. Then proceeded to give me a key card that didn't work or register when I got to my room. When I returned to the front desk, she had a smile on her face.
Coincidence? Surely.
It did, however - explain the front desk problem and the 'go elsewhere if you don't like it' attitude you get from her. Considering this arrogant, unapologetic incompetence with so little concern for customers or their business - is the best of the staff they have on the front desk that they made her the manager and face of the Westin Prince, well.....
If it weren't for the sheer inconvenience at such a late hour, I would have shown this place my middle finger and spent the night at Le Germain downtown, as I should have done in the first place.
Never staying there again is enough. Consider this, my middle finger.
