I was only here briefly on Saturday night for a "Hen's Night" (bachelorette party), but Gilley's is a cute place.
I used to frequent Country Bars when I was REALLY young for line dancing.
My tastes have evolved a bit, and its not really my thing anymore...and I was completely unprepared when I walked in.
There is a HUGE dance floor with people line dancing, and a mechanical bull on the other side from the entrance.
The seats at the bar are saddles, which I think is an adorable touch.
Service was nice. The bartender was very cool and friendly. Prices were standard for the Strip...expensive for me, but I don't go to the Strip really often...I spent $15 on two shots of rum, which is a bit much for me, but if we're being realistic, that's pretty standard pricing for drinks downtown.
I can't say that I'll be back again, since its not really my thing, but I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun time at a downtown country bar.
