| - I was honestly very impressed. I'd been to Tony & Tina's Wedding before (a similar idea/style, with some scripted moments, a lot of crowd interaction and improv), and it felt pretty awkward. At T&T, not a lot of the audience participated. That wasn't the case with Awesome 80s.
I went with a group of five other people to Awesome 80s, and we all dressed up for the occasion in 80s-style clothes. So long as you're comfortable just letting loose (and so are your friends), you'll have a lot of fun. Everyone in the audience was dancing and getting really into it, and it just felt epic. We were seriously standing outside of the show talking about it for like 10 minutes afterwards. The actors were awesome and perfectly cast, and all of the scripted moments were really well done.
This show ISN'T for everyone, but it definitely was perfect for my friends and me, and apparently for everyone who was in attendance. You have to be ready to participate and interact. If you're more of a wallflower, DON'T go to this show. Otherwise, it's an absolute blast.
