  • They have a new system here, and I don't like it. Instead of getting to speak with someone who will let you know if you have everything in order and then giving you a ticket.. They have this new thing where you input your phone number and then have a seat. No questions. So I ended up waiting for 2 hours missing one document and not knowing it. Furthermore they read out the last 4 digits of your phone number now so you have no way of knowing where you are in line. There's no order! Of course they say they text you to keep you updated, but the wait times that you get on your texts are sooo off. When I first sat down my wait time was 333 minutes. That would mean I will be there til 10pm. 30 minutes later my wait time was 313 minutes. I decided that it wasn't safe to leave because the system was so crazy. Eventually I got a text letting me know that my number was coming up within the next 19 minutes and to head back to the DMV. Well good thing I was still sitting there because 2 minutes later my number was called. I would have missed it! My next complaint you've all heard before. The hospitality at the DMV is notoriously bad. After a 2 hour wait, I was finally called. All I managed to do was say hello and sit down before the DMV lady started screaming at me. Because I was missing a document, I waited all day for nothing. But okay, its my fault, I get that. But seriously lady.. Just because you hate your life, don't give ME attitude. She started implying I was stupid for not knowing what to bring. I was seriously offended now. But I didn't go home and kick the dog. Instead, I felt bad for her. Why is she so ANGRY? If the DMV workers are that discouraged, maybe they should try and do something about it to make their work life better. Be nice. Smile. Its not going to kill you. Ass.
