This review is also on Trip Advisor. With a sale they had going on, I figured I'd stay the night before Thanksgiving to see how the renovation was since I had previously stayed there when it was Bill's. I was impressed both with the renovation and the service.
The service started as you pulled into the valet. The valet asked if I would like a bellman for my one little bag and I said sure. Well, there wasn't a bellman available right then so the valet took my bag and me to the check-in desk. Check in was quick and friendly and I was asked if I would like a complementary sangria. I accepted and she let me know that since it was alcohol I would need to be in the room to accept it and it may take up to 20 minutes which I had no issue with. The bellman then appeared and took my me up to the room where he gave me an overview of how to use the keycard for the elevator and door (proximity sensors for both) and a quick tour of the room.
While I was taking pictures of the room the sangria showed up and it was delicious. I then went out to find dinner along the strip and do touristy stuff I don't normally do since I live in Vegas. When I returned, security was at the hotel lobby, I showed them my key and they let me in with no issues. I also helped myself to a cup of coffee at the coffee service. The bed was one of the most comfortable I had slept in and the pillows were just perfect for propping myself up how I like. Drai's nightclub on the roof was closed that night so I can't comment on the noise from it but the noise from the strip was very muffled. There were some noises from the pipes when people used the other bathrooms but this was a renovation not a full re-build so it was expected.
In the morning I went downstairs to grab a coffee before my shower and I wished they had the coffee service on a higher floor not right at the main level off the casino floor. That is one of the main reasons I knocked off a star on this review. After considering it, it really isn't convenient especially if you've just gotten out of bed. The shower was great with the two heads (rain shower and hand held) and the towels were fluffy and absorbent. I checked out by the TV and took a tea to go. The valet was quick and helpful and I was on my way in under 10 minutes after giving them the car slip.
I did not get a turn down service as some people on here have said they received. It was not offered and I didn't request it so I don't know if they are still doing it or if I was just forgotten. Also, since Giada's is now open for breakfast they no longer do the complementary continental breakfast downstairs as some reviews have shown.
All in all I did enjoy my stay and would recommend it to my friends if they were looking for a little higher end boutique property on the strip.
