You've seen hundreds of photos of it. You've seen it in a dozen movies. It is as iconic to "modern-day" Vegas as the lobby of the La Concha motel, the Sultan at the Dunes, or the blinding neon entrance of Sassy Sally's was to "classic-day" Vegas. You may have even been there a several times before. But I challenge you to put down your camera. Don't watch the dazzling choreography of the dancing aquatic pillars though a tiny LED screen. Stay for more than one number. Stay for four. Watch it from a different viewpoint than last time. Feel the temperature drop as the fountains burst high into the air and come crashing down upon the surface. Imagine Richard Branson jumping his own wake on a jet-ski as he did in 2010. Giggle at the family of ducks that have chosen this to be their pond ("What are they, the Kardashians of ducks?"). Bring someone special. Toss a penny and make a wish, and then remember that Vegas is one of the most rapidly-changing cities in the world, and this spectacular ballet will one day too be relegated to an era gone by.
Seriously, would you put down your flipping iPhone? It's freaking majestic.
