| - Not bad, and might be better once they work out a few inefficiencies. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the area, but don't expect the crazy flavours of Sweet Jesus or over-the-top, amazingly flavourful quality/creaminess that you'd expect or experience at other ice cream shops in the GTA.
First, the location. This place is located inside Rockwood Mall (at the northeast corner of Dixie Road and Burnhamthorpe Road). Enter through the entrance by the TD Bank, walk straight, and you'll find the food court on your left, and Wow WoW Yum Yum on your right.
Second, availability. I first called on Friday night to confirm hours, and was actually told to come by the next day instead - apparently there was a lineup and they most likely couldn't serve me that night. So, we visited on a Saturday morning around 11:00 AM instead and, still, it was already pretty busy. So word of advice: make sure you call ahead if you're going later in the afternoon/evening to ensure they have enough stock to serve you!
Third, the menu. There's a lot listed and it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for. Basically, they specialize in "ice cream rolls" which you can get in a cup, in a "bubble waffle" aka Hong Kong waffle, or other medium. Aside from the rolls, they also offer a lot of other items: regular soft serve, milkshakes, sundaes, etc. On Saturday, we ordered: a) ice cream rolls in 2 flavours (Blueberry and Raspberry) in a cup, and b) ice cream rolls in 2 flavours (Red Bean and Matcha Green Tea) in a bubble waffle. Each came with 1 topping. I was really hoping to try the Sweet Taro, but apparently they ran out for the weekend!
The ice cream tasted fine, but wasn't the absolute best. The bubble waffle was nice, but again, wasn't spectacular. Everything was "okay" but didn't totally and unequivocally impress (a la other specialty ice cream shops in the GTA). Running out of flavours was a bit disappointing, and there was a bit of confusion/disorganization behind the register, trying to figure out who was making our order.
Note that seating is limited - there are about 6 stools in the actual shop, but the food court with plenty of seating is closeby. Prices are also a little high for the quality of what you're getting. Overall, average, but not bad. I'd definitely come back again to try the Sweet Taro - it wasn't a terrible experience, but it was just "okay" and hopefully they'll get better as they continue business. Regardless, the novelty of watching ice cream rolls made in front of you is pretty entertaining, and it's nice to know that a specialty place like this is in Mississauga.
For a) 1 bubble waffle with 2 ice cream roll flavours and, b) 1 cup with 2 ice cream roll flavours, we paid around $18.00.
