  • This is such a fantastic addition to Plaza Midwood. I have always been a big Roasting Company fan. I think their Smoked Cheese and Pasta Salad is one of the best side items you will find in Charlotte. This is also a place that has sneaky good queso. I like a lot of things on this menu. Pending on my mood, my go-to orders bounce around between the side item plate (comes with yummy cornbread), chili taco platter, the con queso dishes, and the specials. Bring a friend(s) so you can start with nachos or chips and queso. They have different specials each day (food and drink). Of note: chicken pot pie on Wednesdays (go early they sometimes run out) and chicken and dumplings on Thursdays. Vegetarians, they might be a chicken place, but they have a ton of options for you guys as well. Their Tico Sauce is also delicious. I like that there is a patio type area with a TV (it's technically in the building, but they open the doors). They also have a great bar. Note: when you walk in, you can sit at the bar or walk back to the counter and order, then sit wherever you want. This location is open til midnight on Sunday-Tuesday and 2am Wednesday-Saturday.
