After 7 years with Goodlife, I cancelled unexpectedly last week. The reason: I was told upon purchase that I have a national membership, and after accessing gyms all over Mississauga, Toronto and Sault Ste. Marie (again, for 7 years), suddenly I was told my membership is Mississauga region only. When I asked head office how I was allowed into locations outside of Mississauga for 7 years with no issues, I was told this MUST be because the employees who scanned me in just didn't notice! What a lovely lie/excuse this is. When I said fine, transfer my membership to "Toronto region" I was told I would have to pay a $179 membership renewal fee AND my monthly membership would increase in price. What a joke, and what terrible retention. Goodlife - you should invest your constant price hiking and money grabs into customer service and customer retention.
