My husband and I came here for brunch on abuts Saturday. We waited thirty minutes to be seated but were happy to stand under the electric heartens outdoors prior to being seated inside.
I ordered a mimosa because my husband had and his was mostly champagne with a splash of orange juice. I was a little saddened to see that mine had a more generous pour of orange juice, but I'm guessing a different bartender may have made my drink.
I had a bowl of the she-crab soup for the first time and wow!! So delicious, rich and creamy. I want more just thinking about it. I also ordered a make your own three egg omelette but was disappointed because I paid an upcharge to have avocado in it and it was served on top and had browned. I know how quickly avocado can brown, however paying $2 for a few slices I expect it to be in prime shape. The omelette was fine and the bacon was alright too. A little undercooked maybe and maybe a bit more salty than usual, but served quickly and generous portions which tasted good.
My husband ordered the fried chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy. He devoured the whole meal and said it was excellent. I tried a bite and thought the chicken was cooked perfectly.
We will definitely be back! One star off for avocado omelette issues. Hopefully we go at a non-peak time for our next visit and these flaws will be fixed.
