| - This place is very disorganized and unprofessional. I gave up getting treatment here after many issues made it too frustrating to continue. I'm trying to get my medical records to no avail. Two requests from my new doctor have gone unanswered as have 3 phone messages left with their medical records department in the last 8 days. I demanded to speak with someone in records and they keep saying that they aren't there everyday. It seems like they aren't there any day!!!
The last straw for me was when I tried to set a treatment appointment on June 29th and was told that they weren't scheduling appointments with my doctor for July "because they didn't know what office she would be practicing at in July." When I said that didn't make any sense and asked what that meant, the response was, "we're doing things differently now," whatever that means.
I also asked about repeated attempts to get a back brace my doctor recommended and supposedly submitted to my insurance for covers. She told me that she submitted it two time and then wrote me a prior authorization request to submit through their physical therapy department. I physically handed this to my therapist and asked week after week what the status was on the brace. They repeatedly said it was submitted to my insurance and were awaiting a response. After months of no news and my insurance telling me they never received any such request, my doctor said she's submit it again, the 4th time!
Upon asking the status of the brace request on June 29th to both Las Vegas Pain Institute and my insurance, both told me that they had record of any request for a brace. I finally sought a new doctor and was fitted for a brace during my 1st visit!.
I was also given inaccurate information about my insurance coverage for treatment. I was told by Las Vegas Pain Institute that my insurance wouldn't cover my treatment unless I followed the same doctor to whichever of their five offices she was practicing at. In speaking with my insurance, I was told that isn't true. Lastly, their billing department is a mess. Initially they couldn't even find my account and billing is divided between two services. I'm still trying to sort out my co-pays.
Based on my experience, I'd recommend to stay far, far, away from this place. My doctor seemed fine (with the exception of not being able to successfully submit and obtain a back brace for me through my insurance), but with all the other issues explained above, I wouldn't recommend Las Vegas Pain Institute to anyone.
