| - Stayed here for a 4 day business trip and started off poorly with Valet and Bellmen. Pulled up in a large SUV with 3 of us plus luggage. The bellman was genuinely put out that we asked for luggage assistance, I had to ask 3 times before they would go get a bell cart. The front desk was a trainee and a trainer who felt the need to lecture and talk down to the trainee and bark instructions at me regarding the rules of the resort. Extremely rude.
First impressions of our room are good, spacious, clean and modern. Ordering Room service was a joke. During my lectures received at the front desk, I was instructed to look on the TV for the digital menu, no problem. However, item after item are no longer available, and the young lady answering the phones for room service is unwilling or unable explain what is available. Very difficult to order when you have to guess what is offered and how it's prepared. We also made her (the room service phone person) upset when we asked for a bucket of ice with our $138 dinner. She told us we already have an ice bucket in our room and "we don't bring ice". I explained the ice machine in the hallway was empty, she says she'll ask "if" we can get ice along with our dinner. When our dinner arrived, the Room Service attendant was great, and the food was excellent.
First thing Sunday morning at 7am, we're awoken by the gardeners with gas powered leaf blowers, a great way to be woken at 7am on a Sunday morning at a resort. By now I'm convinced this resort is being managed by someone who is absolutely clueless on what a resort is supposed to be.
Overall the experience here was very sub par, the front desk staff is not friendly, informative or helpful in any way. This place calls itself a resort and it's not even close. Most importantly....check your credit card bills after you stay here. When I checked in, I used AMEX, on check out I gave them my debit card for miscellaneous incidentals, in room movie, room service, etc. they charged the entire bill to my debit card and charged the same amount to my AMEX, double billing me. I called several times, left several voicemails, finally was told it would be handled, it was not. I ended up having to dispute the charges with my bank. Took days trying to recover my funds from crummy little hotel.
