| - A family-owned and operated company out of Columbus, Jeni's is passionate about local, seasonal, and imaginative ingredients. This passion is evident from the moment one steps into their Ice Cream Shop - the first Cleveland location opened a little over a week ago in the quaint and picturesque setting of Chagrin Falls and I made a point to stop by on this warm, sunny-ish afternoon.
I was greeted by a sweet staff eager to help, encouraging me to sample as many flavors as I'd like until I ultimately made my decision. . .and a difficult decision it was! I eventually ordered a scoop of Brown Butter Almond Brittle (um, heaven!) and The Buckeye State (you guessed it, peanut butter + dark chocolately goodness) on a homemade sugar cone. Unbelievably delicious - I savored every bite, or well, lick.
For those who might be skeptical of the price point, I was pleasantly surprised to see that what I ordered above only cost $4 - wouldn't necessarily take kids here (instead, visit the historic Popcorn Shop a few doors down) but the price is *well* worth the high quality product you receive. . .and devour.
An indulgence I'm happy that's entered the Cleveland market - I'll undoubtedly be lured back as the weather continues to improve. And, I truly cannot wait. Yum.
