  • I was pleasantly surprised with this find in the Strip district. The staff was welcoming and nice when we first got there. Unfortunately there appeared to be multiple reservations for Sunday morning breakfast (we got there at around 9:30) because despite empty tables there weren't any available so we sat at the bar. I ended up getting the shrimp and grits with a side of grill toasted bread. The shrimp was very nicely cooked, peeled and alone had a simple flavor, which really enabled the grits flavor to come out. Mushrooms and thick cut pork were also mixed into the grits, adding some nice texture and flavor. The consistency of the grits was not too thick nor liquidy. Having the toast was a needed additive especially because it helped me mop up all the grit sauciness. I usually like buttered toast, but I felt that the toast was a bit overly buttered. I also had the coffee julep which was a nice combination of mint and coffee in a slush of ice. Great drink to have on the side but I could only have it in sips and not as a morning pick-me-up. The atmosphere was very interesting in that they have a bar in the center surrounded by the main restaurant tables and a cafe on the opposite side of the kitchen where all the coffee orders go. The interior is like a warehouse almost so the market portion is clearly visible. Definitely check out the market because they have some cool items on their shelves.
