If I could give this vet zero stars, I would. Back when this vet was owned by a different owner, it was great. It changed hands a couple years back and has just been going down hill since then. A recent incident totally turned me off and caused me to find a new vet and write this review to hopefully save my fellow pet-lovers frustration. My dog went in for a routine yearly check up (I mentioned that I wanted him checked for lyme disease because he had quit a few ticks recently), and they took blood from him. They said they would call me back at the end of the day with the results. I never got a call. I called back the same day and I found out that they had completely forgotten to run the blood. I had to take my dog back and get blood re-drawn the next day, and found out he did have lyme disease. They just kind of brushed his lyme disease under the carpet and told us it wasn't affecting his liver so he would be fine and there was nothing else that we could really do. I was also dis-satisfied with this visit because Dr. Hall (one of the two vets) was very scatter-brained and just didn't seem like she knew what she was talking about.
I now go to Belacoop Animal Hospital in North Park and I am SO happy with it. It is owned by the main vet who started this new place from the ground up. The staff and main vet is wonderful and they really care about your pet. Not to mention, I found out that my dog has very low levels of lyme disease and it is treatable. I also found out there is a vaccine!
Thanks a lot Harts Run (sense my sarcasm). So glad we left Harts Run and found Belacoop. If you love your pet and want to ensure him or her a happy, long life, DO NOT go to Harts Run Vet.
