My preference is to give NO STAR! I had the worst experience ever in my life dealing with Avis and it was a huge mistake choosing this company. I booked a car for two weeks and prepaid. First of all, they said I should go to billy bishop airport to pick up the car. But there is NO car picking at the airport at all! I called them and they told me I should take the shuttle and go to Bay 161, which is the car picking location. I live near Bay 161 and it only takes five minutes to walk there! Now I wasted more than 40 minutes to go to the airport and had to take the shuttle back! This is far from the worst. When I arrived at the Avis car rental desk at Bay 161, they told me that my booking was cancelled and now I have to pay MUCH HIGHER rates to book again! This is just stupidity. I prepaid when I booked online and they already charged me. I certainly didn't cancel my own booking and it must be their misoperation. I called the customer service and they kept on saying that my booking was cancelled and giving me meaningless serial numbers. Three hours were wasted on this crap. I planned a very long drive and I really don't have more time to be wasted. Finally I agree to pay the higher rate and they gave me a MUCH SMALLER car than I booked. And the car is very dirty. When I got the car, it was already 3:00 pm. I cannot drive anywhere before it's getting dark! This Avis company is so ill organized and unprofessional. This horrible experience completely messed up my mood for the trip. If you want a pleasant trip, I don't recommend this company!
