This review is for the Pho Cafe located on the main floor near the Cirque de Soleil ticket booth. I've tried pho in many other cities and my mantra regarding pho is, "how could you mess pho?" I certainly wasn't disappointed yet I was expecting the worst from a place in Treasure Island that had a picture of a coffee cup as their logo. I certainly was put in my place when a huge bowl of noodles piled high with scallops, shrimps, fish cakes and fish balls were presented.
I wish I could go to Vegas just for that bowl of Pho. I'm kind of ashamed of liking the Pho there more than the Pho I've had in L.A. and Chicago yet at the same time, I wish I could find that intense flavor anywhere in California. I ordered a small bowl of the seafood pho since I can't have too much beef in my diet and the size of it blew me away. Not only was the seafood cooked to near perfection, there were various amounts of hot sauce and a mountain of bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, limes and jalapenos. Delicious.
Our server, even though he was handling a 6 table section including a large group of 10 kids handled every request graciously and certainly seemed to be quite the pro at his job. Our lunch was quick, we were never in want of anything and left with large grins on our faces.
