| - Until the last few years I took all my alterations to a friend of my mom who makes bridesmaids' dresses in her spare time - so I could, without question, trust anything she altered to come back fitting me perfectly. Now, living on the other side of town, I had a Burberry and a Cinzia Rocca coat which I purchased on sale, but both were nearly a size too big. The wrap coat looked like an over sized bathrobe on me. I put off having both coats tailored for months because I simply did not know a tailor that I felt confident with. I called A & M Tailoring and spoke to Helen. After she answered some questions, I went to A & M, tried them on and she pinned both so we could agree on what I wanted and what could be done. The price was not cheap, but I was more concerned with the coats looking as if they fit me well. In less than a week I picked up the coats and opted to try them on a home rather than at the shop. I can say that when I tried them on I was floored - completely blown away - both fit like they were tailor-made for me! I am so impressed with this little shop and the work they do. I have two coats, with linings, basically remade I paid $160.00 (I was given an "estimate" before leaving the coats). I feel this was very reasonable for the work. Helen was very, very sweet and easy to work with. If you are looking for a tailor, I would recommend A & M without hesitation.
