  • downsview park...the site of all of the HVY TO festivals and veld, and other numerous events over the years. was very very happy to attend the last HVY TO festival which was a mud bath to say the least, what an amazing experience. aside from the numerous events this park has held, this place is a park! and quite an awesome sized one at that, sharing its space with downsview airport, this park has something for everyone, one of the buildings on the park lands does a farmers market every weekend, there is a rock climbing gym and so much more. in the next couple of years, this park will be joined to the YUS line of the TTC *still under construction* which is going to make for a fantastic access point to the park, they are actually renaming the now downsview station, to give this new station the downsview name...very fitting. I highly recommend this park as I said, something for everyone and tons of room for whatever you want to do! a quick walk from downsview or bus # 84\101 gets you to the park grounds in less then five minutes. lots of room to park and generally it is free outside of an event.
