Staying outside of the real downtown allows you to save a bundle, and the renovations that have obviously been done to this hotel are fantastic. Nice rooms (a little cozy, but well appointed) and friendly staff made for a good stay, and for being substantially cheaper than the HGI on Peter Street or the Hilton Toronto which is usual preference in Toronto, it was not bad at all. Everyone hates the $30 parking charge, but that's de rigeur for Toronto hotels. Park in a city lot if you want to save a few bucks.
The hotel's a short walk from the Dundas subway station which gets you anywhere pretty quick.
