We were headed to another spot and decided on a whim to give Kitchen 56 a try. The outside patio was fun and happy-looking and it, the homey woodsmoke smell, and the 'local' neon sign, drew us in.
The menu is full of delectable taste combos and we quickly decided in the prosciutto and fig pizza and brussel sprout hash. The server, Che, was very friendly and attentive and the food came quickly.
The pizza was very tasty, although was more in a dessert line to my taste since its sauce is honey-based, which the menu does clearly state. Thr crust was light and airy with just the right crispness. The sprouts were also done nicely, with just a touch of crunch. The two of us split the pizza and hash and we still had leftovers.
The other diners were a mix of young families and couples in their 40s. The price point was very reasonable, especially by Scottsdale standards. I would definitely come again if I was in the area and might even make a special trip.
