  • This review is from a first time mom, who was was a stay at home mom and had to find a daycare center for the first time so I could work. Needless to say, I am very protective and putting my daughter in daycare was very hard for me and scared me tremendously. My daughter is 18 months old and very very attached to me. This experience was my daughters first time away from me ever. No one else has ever been a primary care provider for my baby other than my self so I interviewed a few locations before coming to this daycare. I originally had chosen another location but this one was closer and the front staff was so friendly I decided to go with the pebble location instead. I can't say enough about the front enrolment staff, they were great. Facility was clean. However, I gave a 2 star and unenrolled my daughter after the first day because before picking up my daughter after her first day I spent some time looking at the cameras in the room to see how my daughter was adjusting. What I saw litter ally brought me to tears. I may have been overly sensitive because it was our first daycare experience but what I saw was not OK by any means in mY eyes. I witnessed one of the teachers take a boy out of his chair by one arm, like a rag doll. That same teacher then placed another girl in her nap time cot by just one arm. I was mortified. I do not think you should handle children like this at all , ever. Especially not 18 months old babies. When I went to get my daughter I was holding back tears and so tempted to blow up on the teacher but I didn't. The teaching staff just seemed so cold and kind of like they disliked being there. I immediately spoke with the director and her response was very apologetic saying the actions where unacceptable and the teacher was just new and needed to be trained better. I don't think training is the problem. I think it's human instinct to not cary children like doll's and a truly nurturing person would have had the common sense not to do that. The teacher then denied she handled children that way but I knew what I saw. I like the facility and director but the teachers in the baby rooms need to go. Maybe some more loving individuals who seem like they like children would do. My daughter is now at a different location , the one I should have started with from the beginning and is so well adjusted and loved there. My advise is interview the teachers when choosing your daycare. Not just the front staff.
