I have hiked this trail twice now and it is a favorite.
* Ample parking at start of the trail.
*There is a bathroom at the start of the trail.
The hike starts out easy and gets progressively steeper and more challenging as it continues along. There are some spots along the way in the shade and others in the sun. I have seen young children and older out of shape people make their way to the top which includes a wide open area with 2 waterfalls. With the water source comes the extra bonus of flowers and chipmunks. Take a minute to explore the caves or take in all the beauty of the mountain side. The trail can get very crowded with hikers quickly so make sure to start out on your hike as early as possible. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. I have seen numerous tourists on this trail wearing little or no protection from the sun and hiking in jeans and flip flops. This is a good trail for dogs as well, but I say keep them leashed up. At a steady pace, this hike will take you about 2 hours.
