  • I guess it's time for a refresh, and by a refresh I mean a downgrade. I came here recently and stayed for half the week for an onsite conference. If it was not for my friends room who wasn't even part of the conference, I would not have been able to see the fountain show from my room at all. Upon check in, after waiting over 10 minutes in this horrendous line, I was given a room where the bathroom was still uncleaned. It was so disgusting the toilet seat had some unknown smear on it and the shower stall still had remnants of hair and other people's soap. I had to leave to check in to the conference so I hurriedly found a cleaning staff in the hallway and requested a reclean of the room. I don't really know what they did exactly but it was definitely not up to my standard. The smear on the toilet seat was still there and I had to clean it up myself. Overall the room was dirty, not check in ready, and most of the fancy curtain trickery did not work since CLOSE actually meant OPEN ... somebody's bad wiring job! The TV and its remote were half functioning, half of the time, and the whole room was dirty, dusty. You can tell it's already becoming run down, rough areas on the carpet and slightly unclean (stained but probably washed) sheets. The bedding was not great and their "majestic" headboard had so much dust on top you wonder when it was they last dusted the whole room. For a place that prides itself in "luxury" and high quality service, there was no follow-up to my complaint and the whole stay just made me feel dirty. In comparison to the long list of choices of luxurious accommodations on the strip for around the same price, I am shocked Bellagio still has the audacity to charge the kind of rates it does. I've had far cleaner rooms in the Cromwell, Vdara, Aria, Cosmo, Paris and Planet Hollywood just to name a few where in theory the star rankings don't add up to what Bellagio is supposed to be. I am likely never staying here again unless they somehow give me some grand return gesture like a comped, premium, fountain room. And even then, it's not the greatest place.
