| - I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at a Hyatt Place, and was happy to have had a good experience here, too. I had an early flight out of PIT and decided to stay the night close to the airport and avoid an early morning commute. In echoing what the other Yelpers have said, it is slightly difficult to find since it is tucked away in a shopping area. It was clean, reasonably priced, and perfect for the night before the flight.
There is one minor hold-up for me that may prevent me from staying before a flight and that is the shuttle ordeal. So, they don't have an actual Hyatt shuttle but instead it's a 3rd party called Hotel Express or something--which is fine--but, my flight departed at 6:10am and the first shuttle didn't leave until 4:45am. My husband and I both have TSA PreCheck, so I usually don't worry too much about showing up extra early, but I knew it was going to be a hectic travel day (day after a holiday) and leaving so late made me a little nervous. We even were going to forego using the shuttle and just Uber, but there weren't any Uber's around (especially at 4am on a Monday), so we chanced it and took the shuttle. Had we not had PreCheck, we probably would have missed our flight. Also, this is totally my fault for not checking a map, but I thought because this is advertised as "Hyatt PIT Airport" that it was right at the airport--it's about a 10-15 min ride to the airport without traffic, so with traffic you may be looking at a half hour.
In short, I didn't have a problem staying here, just poor research on my part regarding distance to the airport and the shuttle service. I also wouldn't book here if I had a flight before 6:30am, as you will be cutting it close with the earliest shuttle.
