This park has been around for a long time. I remember when the city ended to the north of this park. The golf course was desert and we used to play over there during family picnics. The park is well maintained and clean. It has lots two play grounds, relatively clean bathrooms, ball fields, big shade trees, plenty of open space, and a skate park.
It also has a public swimming pool. We signed our toddler up for swim lessons (2 weeks for $15). The lessons are taught by certified lifeguards but not actual swim teachers. One two week session we had a great instructor that sang songs, was organized, and made it a lot of fun for the children, as well as the parents. The second two week session was completely the opposite. The instructor barely taught the class. She just moved around the pool and barely interacted with her students. They need consistency in the way their lessons are taught. I realize they are not actual teachers, but it wouldn't take much effort to get everyone on the same page.
