| - We were originally looking for a hotel on the strip, but it being St. Patty's Day weekend everything was way over priced and booked on the strip! So we came across this place, it's only a 12-15 minute drive from the strip and 5 minute walking distance from Fremont. If you have ever heard of The Yard/Culinary Drop Out Restaurant, the outside area is just like that. There's a huge outside area right below Gold Spike with tons of games, life size beer pong, four square, giant chess, a live band/dj, dancing and sitting areas, casino, night club, and restaurants. Then at The Oasis is the pool and a more quiet area away from all the music and people. It's a very clean place, they are on top of everything. Don't intend on sleeping very well, the music plays until about 4:30 AM. It's also very secure, you can't get anywhere without your room key. The room was very nice as well, just a little small. Beware there is hardly any parking for guests, considering how huge the hotel is... We got lucky and found a spot and didn't drive the entire time we were there, just took cabs. Besides the hotel being over priced for the holiday weekend (we paid $130 a night and it's usually $70 a night from what I heard, they also charge a $20 a night fee) and being a little far from where we wanted to be, it was a good time!
