  • The funny thing is that I go to GLBC for the beer and atmosphere and always leave most impressed by the food. The beer is good with a nice seasonal variety. The old wooden bar right when you walk in, which is from the 1860s, and the stone walled pub in the basement create such an authentic feeling like you are back in time 150 years ago. During my last visit there were a group of guys at the bar singing some song in German. Very cool. The servers are typically very cool and knowledgable. But the food is outstanding. One of my favs is the butternut squash ravioli with Swiss chard and walnuts. Prices aren't bad for the quality you are getting.
