| - I purchased a third-party electronic gift card for Bed Bath & Beyond, in the amount of $400. I went to use it in a retail location and was told the gift card balance is zero. Bed Bath & Beyond shut down the card because the original purchaser paid with a bad credit card. Bed Bath & Beyond allowed this somehow.
And now, Bed Bath & Beyond is not willing to stand behind the card. I tried emailing the CEO Steven Temares, who never even responded to me; he just forwarded my email to someone else named Cameron Rees, who did absolutely nothing to help me.
After this report, I will be posting elsewhere online, contacting Chamber of Commerce, Yelp, Better Business Bureau, and possibly filing a small claims action against this company. I used to be a very regular customer, but since they have been so dishonest in this matter, I have not stepped foot into one of their stores. And until this is resolved, I will not.
Watch out: Bed Bath & Beyond will not stand behoind their gift cards, will not resolve concerns such as this, and does not care about customers like me. I will stop at nothing until I get reimbursement for this card. I recommend that everyone take note of their awful customer service and shop elsewhere.
