  • Libertine bakehouse has a lot of hype so I wanted to visit during my trip to Montreal. We canned over in the mid afternoon, as they close early. It was fairly empty and they don't have a ton of offerings. I got the Paris brest and my girlfriend got the strawberry lemon tart. The Paris Brest was very good. Don't in an open eclair type style. Had a nice chocolate layer which went well. The lemon tart with strawberries was good but not special. I had some mini strawberry and lemon macaron at home later that I purchased which were likewise fine, but not amazing. I'm not sure why the hype online but it was very good. And there was no wait.
