| - All you can eat sushi for $26.95! Let me repeat that, in case you didn't catch that- ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI for $26.95!!!!
My brother who visits Vegas at least once a year highly suggested that I venture off the The Strip and give Sushi Goyemon a try. I was very skeptical being that it was all you can eat and at such a crazy low price. But being that my husband and I love both sushi, and a deal, we decided to check it out. We may have not hit the jackpot in the casinos, but we hit the jackpot at Goyemon! This was by far the best all you can eat sushi joint for it's food and it's price! There was a large selection of nigiri sushi, sushi rolls, side items, and desserts, and ALL of it was included in the AYCE price! Salmon, ikura, hamachi, toro, ebi, saba, uni, shrimp tempura, salmon kama, poke, gyoza, shumai, teriyaki chicken, green tea ice cream, creme brulee....and I could go on and on and on. It's basically a full menu that's AYCE. Though the nigiri was small, the fish was fresh and I didn't mind it being small, so that I could try lots of different things without getting too full. Rolls were full size, but you can order half a roll so that you don't get too full on rolls. This is to your advantage since you will be charged if there is any leftovers.
My favorites of the night were the lemon roll and and salmon belly. The ikura tasted really strange though. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 instead of a 5 is because on the night we went, the rice was inconsistent. The first order of sushi we had, the rice was seasoned well. The second and third round of sushi had a very strong vinegar flavor, and if there is one thing that I don't like in my sushi, is an overpowering vinegar taste. The last round of sushi that we got, the rice was back to normal.
Sit at the bar for a better experience. It was so easy to order our sushi in small batches since the sushi chef was right there in front of us. If you sit at the bar, order the sushi from the sushi chefs, and the sides from your server.
The wait for a table at 6:00 was initially 1 hour 20 minutes, but they called us after 45 minutes. They conveniently text you a link when you put your name in, and you can see where you are on the waiting list by clicking the link. We put our names in and drove down the street to Trader Joe's and got called while we were there. They graciously saved our seats and we were seated as soon as we got back.
I don't know when I will return to Vegas, but when I do, Goyemon will definitely be on my list of places to eat!
