I did this with my family recently. We had a great time. None of us had done an escape room before, so we didn't really know what to expect.
The staff was great. They recommend that you arrive ten minutes early, and it's definitely worth it. It gives you a chance to practice opening different types of locks (there are many). You wouldn't want to figure out the combination and not know how to deal with the lock.
We did the Captains Quarters. It's one of the beginner rooms, I think. It was pretty challenging- especially if you're not really sure what to expect from the experience.
Staff was great. I highly recommend this to anyone. Great for a family, and I expect it would be a fun team building exercise.
I was not sure, however, if a tip was appropriate or expected. I did not see either of the groups that exited before us tip. I'd like to know because I intend to go again. I will probably just call and ask.
