I would give Centurylink a negative rating if at all possible. Completely misleading business practices that should be illegal if they are not already. Unfortunately, Centurylink is one of the big gorillas in the communications business so I doubt they will get more than a slap on the wrist for such practices if anything. I purchased PRSM and internet service for 1 year. Initially I was told by the sales department that they had a fiber optic internet connection to find out it hasn't been fully rolled out so instead I ended up with much slower DSL. When you initially sign up they give you all sorts of discounts that end half way through your contract such that my bill actually doubled during the last six months. If you call customer service, they generally act like they are doing you a favor by answering the phone. To top things off, you cannot cancel your services immediately as you can with other service providers and end up charged for services you no longer want or need because their ticketing system takes a few business days to process cancellations (how convenient is that for them...).
