  • Key words: real fruit, fresh ingredients The store is tucked in on a side street by Ryerson U, pretty close to dundas subway and eaton centre. I am probably gonna come here from now on rather than waiting in line for longer than 10 min at some other bbt places near by. The store is not big, with only 4-5 tables and friendly staffs. Like other bbt places, you can customize the sugar and ice in your drink. Don't forget to grab a stamp card for free drink with 10 stamps. I've tried 3 drinks so far: grass jelly milk tea, taro milk tea and jade lemon ice tea. Got them with half sugar and less ice except for the jade one. To be honest, the grass jelly milk tea tastes like the once from other places, nothing special about it. The taro one was my favourite, unlike the usual purple colored taro drink, it was off white with some light pink taro paste at the bottom of the cup. Those were real taro! Not the taro flavored powder. People who've never had fresh taro before might think the purple taro flavour is how taro supposed to taste like. At first it was a bit awkward when I tried to blend the chunky taro paste with the milk tea, then I was told that's how I am supposed to drink it. The taro goes pretty well with the jasmine and oolong, not overpowering the tea at all. The texture might not be everyone's thing, I was ok with it tho. The jade lemon ice tea was a strong one. It tasted very similar to HK style lemon tea and cumquat tea. I find it a bit heavy but my bf loved it. Apparently their flavored drinks were made with fresh fruits, not powder or from concentrated juice. When I was waiting for my drink I saw a worker peeling grapefruit at the back lol. Their taro were also chopped and made into paste in the store. I was told the tapiocas are kept fresh, once they get mushy a new batch will be made. The drinks were priced reasonably as the regular size is quite big, the quality ingredients definitely worth the price too.d
