| - Wow! I wish every hotel I stay in could have something like this. Not only was the decor and service outstanding, but every feature was better than the next.
First, my husband and I worked out together at the fitness center. Tons of treadmills and bikes, each with their own individual tv monitors. We didn't try the weight machines but there were lots, plus water, newspapers, a juice bar--the works.
After an hour of sweating and feeling virtuous, we got down to the decadent part. There are separate spa facilities for men and women with your own locker, slippers and robe. They suggest the following route: Shower first, then steam sauna, dry sauna, rain shower, hot tub dip, cold dip and finally a rest on the heated stone lounge chairs. Unbelievable. I never wanted it to end and did the whole cycle twice. Felt like I had the whole place to myself, though admittedly it was midweek in January.
At first the $30 fee seemed high, since most hotels offer at least their gym facilities for free, but it was worth every penny!
My only quibble, the one thing I found more silly than relaxing, was the overly complicated rain showers. Took ten minutes just to program. But everything else was incomparably soothing.
