I had heard from David S. that their waffle batter had been revamped to be much lighter and crispier. Since I was jonesing to fulfill my addiction anyway, Aziz B. and I made a stop on our way to the movies on a Friday night. I had just the plain waffle with some powdered sugar and a side of syrup. It was very crispy, light, and delicious--a huge change from the previous way it was made. Aziz B. had his waffle Berry Sensation style, and it was so good that I ate almost half of his. The fruit is a nice balance to the not-that-sweet, eggy taste of the waffle. I was told it's more of a Hong Kong style of waffle--referring to the eggier taste, which I think is great because I've honestly never had a Hong Kong style waffle before that night. My next visits will totally be waffle-fied, because I'm just as crazy about waffles as I am about crepes in cones!
