  • Was here again just this last weekend. I know staying downtown isn't for everyone but I was still pleased with the Plaza. From the trip I had done earlier I had free stuff this time around. I got comped rooms and some gambling specials. As mentioned previously, they really see the value of their gamblers. The players club really rewards you. We ate at Brightside and that was great. The random breakfast sandwiches are yummy. We also did happy hour at Oscar's. So worth it!! My husband and I had 3 drinks and 3 appetizers - $40 total!! And you got to sit in the lovely lounge area of Oscar's. We did not do the pool this time as it was January. But we did do some football watching. They had event center space reserved for football games with multiple TV's, drinks specials, and some food. My husband thought this was the coolest thing. He could have stayed there all day. They weren't weird about buying their stuff and he actually brought in alcohol from our room. No problem. Oh, we also did the Bingo. That was so fun. Never done Bingo before. Did the daub version and the electronic version. Daubing was fun but super stressful!! Electronic version so much better since computer does it all. :) Still enjoy the Plaza. Would totally stay here again. Shout out to Curt and Brenda of the Players Club. Both very helpful!!!!
