| - The saga is finally over! We got our chairs delivered on July 26th!
This entire process took almost 3 months with many trips, phone calls, and email exchanges.
I have to say that speaking with customer service was a lot better than dealing with the store when we had an issue with the inventory and delivery. We spoke with a rep that helped and accommodate us in many ways. He was quick with the refund for the carpenter. He was efficient at figuring out what other chairs we could get and gave us a $500 discount on our new chairs because the chairs we did order never turned up. He wasn't able to provide a reason, but he did give us a discount, which was nice. They get one additional star for this and for being accommodating. But I do have to say I did have to advocate for this! More power to anyone that speaks up!
The chairs we got are very big. They don't fit around the table as well as the other ones would, but they are pretty comfy. When we got the chairs, one did come with a lost leg holder (the cup at the end of the chair leg) and one had a scratch on. They really should do better at quality control. AMJ told me they inspect everything before delivery, but ours weren't all in the best condition. When I spoke to the rep, he said would exchange if we were willing to bring it up Vaughan, but my car won't fit two big chairs and I am not interested in trekking all the way to Vaughan. We will make due with what we have.
There is a 1 year warranty on all of our items so I'll see the durability of these products.
Overall, the products are beautiful, but I don't think it was worth the stress and hassle. If you do want to go with them, try to get your own delivery by renting a car.
