My wife and I visited this restaurant based on some recommendations by coworkers. We walked in and the interior struck us as a Spanish Olive Garden. Nothing particularly attractive about the restaurant and nothing that would make us feel we were in a Spanish restaurant except for the music.
Relative to most Spanish restaurants I've been to this one is near the bottom of the list. A dinner for two (which included two cocktails, two appetizers and two entrees plus tip) the bill came to nearly $100. If I take the cost into account, Miro is definitely at the bottom.
The two appetizers were Patatas Bravas and Lobster Empenadas. The potatoes were under cooked and they were soaked in a soupy aioli. I'm sure the potatoes were meant to be slightly crispy, at least cooked through. The lobster was unremarkable and wouldn't recommend it.
My wife had the Paella which we were pleased with. I'd call this a safe bet to get a good experience from the restaurant. I had the special of the evening which was grouper with shrimp and scallops in a "salsa verde". The grouper tasted exactly like the shrimp which tasted exactly like the scallops. The only way to really tell them apart was by texture and the "salsa verde" tasted suspiciously like asparagus soup. I ate about 1/3 of it and couldn't take it anymore.
Bottom line we spent $100 on a meal that met about a $40 standard.
