| - NEVER AGAIN!
We decided to have my daughter's party here on a Friday night. We were extremely rushed with only 1 hour in the party room, but we had an early evening party and knew we were not going to have another group waiting after us. The owners seriously need lessons in customer service and treating their customers like they actually appreciate their business. Not once after the party was over did she ask, How was it? Did you have a good time? Please come again. At the very end after my family and guests cleared out the room with no carts available to put all our stuff on to return things to the car, I went to pay. The kid that works there told me they're going to charge me $30 more on top of our balance because we went over our time by 15 minutes. What!!? $30 more for just 15 minutes?!! That just put a bad tone now own the entire experience because I didn't expect that. I said, "Well, I'll never be coming here again. I mean, that's ridiculous." He went back and asked the owner if there was anything she could do, and she knocked it down to $15. I guess that's better than nothing, but still...WHAT A WAY TO NICKEL AND DIME people! I mean, seriously we were the last party, they still had an hour before closing because there was another party going on in another room, and nobody waiting for the room after us. I've done our other parties at My Gym and Rock the Tea, and never did those businesses pull anything like that. When the party is over, it's over. I could understand if there was another party waiting for us right after, but for 15 minutes? It was such a crappy way to end our party. We walked out frustrated and totally annoyed.
Another thing that is terrible is their sock policy. If your guests forget to wear socks, YOU are responsible for paying for their socks! What? THEY should be responsible for paying for their OWN socks. I made sure to bring a bag full of new socks for men, women, and kids sizes, so this wouldn't happen, but still. That was another $25 bucks on socks I didn't need to spend so I would have brand new socks for people. Ugh!
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your party. For a few hours of play here, I'm sure it's fine, but for parties, they are not the only game in town with all the party places available. I just got the feeling the owners don't care what their customers take away from having a party here, and will continue to turn people off if this is how they conduct their business.
