| - I've been waiting to write my review until after my wedding, although I probably could have given this place 5 stars from day one.
Jenny (the owner) is a delight to work with and you can tell she really cares about her customers and making this a place of love & friendship. She is a pro... trust her guidance & have comfort that she knows what she is doing.
The venue is gorgeous!!! To all you brides out there, you must remember this is an outdoor venue in the middle of farmland. If you can't handle outdoor elements, then this is not the place for you. This is an antique farmhouse with antique charm and was absolutely perfect for our wedding, our theme, and our personalities. Our guests had a wonderful time... everything was perfect.
I loved when planning my wedding there were bridal events to attend that allowed me to see the venue what they call "wedding ready" and it gave me ideas/options for decor. It's also an opportunity to meet the vendors so you can decide who you would like to work with for catering, cake, and a DJ. If you attend these events it will make planning your wedding much easier.
The day of my wedding was flawless. We had about 110 people (give or take, I don't know who showed & who didn't) & there was plenty of room (and food and cake) for all. I'll be posting more pictures when I have a chance.
The venue also breaks down the cost into affordable monthly payment plans which is a huge help for a bride & groom.
Bottom line, if I had my wedding to do over again I would not change a thing.
A couple of tips, email is a great way to communicate with the venue. This is a small operation and they are usually working hard on the venue with things like gardening, renovations, and basic maintenance. If you call you may not reach someone right away but don't be discouraged. Jenny and her team are excellent communicators!!!
