I didn't dislike the place but I didn't like it that much either. My wife and I ate there on an 'off day' during the week. Yeah...we got seated fast...yeah...the service was good. Lots of personality in this place. Very east coast feelings in most ways. The decor was OK. Probably not what I would expect for a place that is somewhat pricy. I got a glass of red wine. A very very modest size glass I would add. I doubt a 4 oz pour. My wife got a basic cocktail. All was OK really. Bread came out and it was white bread and butter. Ok....how can you mess that up. We got a zucchini appetizer. Again...not bad, but not thrilling. Was served with an Alfredo sauce, which I thought was a little strange. Again, very modest portion size on that. I got the pasta Bolognese and my wife got the cheese ravioli. Pretty good...nothing to write home about. The ravioli was a really small portion. I think it came in a salad bowl.
The location is awesome. It's easy to run up a bit of a bill here. They've been around a long time. People must like it. I'm more neutral on it. Considering the restaurant choices in Old Town, I'd probably try something else next time.
