  • Very pleased with the service, friendliness and quality of workmanship. I had only experienced chain store jewelers before and got used to everything costing an arm and a leg and taking a month or longer. I called American Jewelers because of the high ratings here on Yelp. I spoke with the security guard (never did get his name, unfortunately) who told me I was probably significantly overestimating how much the work on my ring would cost. At the chain stores I usually go to, my guestimate would probably have been too low. The cost for several repairs and a resizing ended up being HALF of what I was hoping for. I've invested a lot of money over the years in repairs and resizings on my engagement ring and I got used to the costs being quite hefty. Not only was the cost far better than what I was hoping for, but the workmanship far exceeded (both in quality and in timeliness) what I had ever received in prior repairs and resizings and it was ready in just a few days. My ring is nowhere near as fragile as it used to be and seems to be sturdier in areas than it was brand new.
