  • I stopped in here on a Saturday night during Xmas shopping season and it seemed very unimpressive. More people than at the Mills mall but that aint sayin' a whole lot. The one thing that strikes you right away is the police presence. I'm not talking about Paul Blart "mall cops" but REAL cops with loaded guns and concerned looks on faces. They aint playing around at this mall, and it's kinda scary and sad that a bunch of oinkers need to patrol inside a mall like this. I guess there were some big gang fights and other teenage mayhem at this mall a few years ago and now it's on "lockdown" status. Just gives the whole place a really creepy and oppressive ambience, and made me just wanna leave quickly and never go back. I can easily see why most of America would rather stay home and shop online. What's the point of going to Monroeville Mall and have cops giving you the stink eye for simply being a customer? I really don't get it, folks. Stay home and buy something on Amazon or Ebay and let's get the cops back on the street fighting real crime instead of wasting taxpayer dollars being Paul Blart wannabe's.
