  • This GoodLife location is an extremely small one and I thought the GoodLife on McCaul was small. Since the gym is small, they get busy fairly quick and have limited selection of equipment and machines Avoid coming between peak times of 5pm - 7pm if you can because the gym will seem even smaller than it already is. I only come to this location twice a week for their spinning classes and love the fact it's close to home. Therefore, I do not need to use the changing room facilities. The changing room is definitely tight and claustrophobic especially when there are more than 5 women in there. Not sure how the guys manage, but I'm sure they're in and out of the changing room rather quickly. I have tried the group exercise classes in the past, but stopped going after about a month of trying since the room is small with poor air circulation that always smelled of sweat and dirty shoes. Definitely do not go for yoga or Pilates classes because it's not zen-like at all and you don't want to be laying down on the dirty floor even if you bring your own yoga mat. I guess I'm used to yoga studios where everyone removes their footwear before entering the room. The good thing about this location, the staff are always friendly and greet you upon arrival and departure, plus sometimes engage in small talk. Definitely no attitude ever like some other locations and they genuinely welcome every visit warmly. During the winter or rainy/slushy season, everyone removes their footwear before entering the gym area leading to the changing room which is great because there's definitely no space in the changing room and who wants a wet gym floor. NOBODY! If only cubicle shelves for the footwear were provided at the entrance, it would be greatly appreciated by everyone because the mat gets overfilled quickly and sometimes it's hard to retrieve your shoes/boots without stepping in puddles. Nobody wants wet socks! Overall, this location is definitely a major convenience for people living in the neighbourhood. Plus the proximity to Starbucks, Aroma, Mullins and the LCBO all within the intersection is a big bonus. In addition, after a workout if you don't feel like cooking at home, lots of good restaurants within a 5-10 minutes walk.
