REBA McENTIRE/BROOKS & DUNN CONCERT - The Colosseum is a wonderful venue for seeing ANY musical act - you can't go wrong with the facility.
I am not a country music fan/critic, but I can listen to it, appreciate the artist and recognize songs if they made it to mainstream charts/radio. This is one of those concerts where I recognized about 1/3 of the songs but enjoyed every minute of both the acts (2 hours, no intermission). Reba is personable and fun and I liked the background information she gave about some of the songs. She jokes around with Brooks & Dunn; they sing on stage together but are often alone. The boys were just as entertaining & engaging - they play some mean guitar at various points and who doesn't like "Boot Scoot Bogey"? Their staging is all light show and large video screen; but the multi-dimensional apparatus moves in & out from the sides and up and down from the rafters making the performing area a continually changing size: intimate to huge and in between. These moving pieces are also part of the light show - it is pretty cool! It is especially beautiful when B & D sing an inspirational song about "belief" and the stage turns in to a conceptual, stained glass art show!!! It was worth every penny and if you are big fans, I don't think you can go wrong!
