| - Could leave one star if I could. Awful service, food, and manager.
Heard good things. Place looked decent, cute, trendy.
Initially from the get go, even the guacamole was awful. Our server brought it out and immediately and knew it just tasted like over ripe, mashed avocados. When she came over to ask out was she already knew we didn't like it because she asked if we thought it was OK or if I needed more spices. Then when our entrées came out .... that's when the real disappointment began. So the elite/street corn tasted just like cold, soggy corn and sour cream. My tamales were made of some soft gross dough of some sort (not plantains?) and were served cold and flavorless. I told her to take them back immediately. Our nachos were extremely disappointing and were comparison to 7-Eleven nachos that were cold, barely drizzled with cheese and were cheap in every sense of the word.
Our quesadillas were fairly decent considering it's pretty hard to mess up cheese and chicken.
Additionally we asked for our first round of margaritas with a certain type of tequila (Herradura) and it was not clearly the brand we asked for. The next round of that same margarita were served with different drink accessories, for example my friend got a jalapeño on her same drink I ordered. Why?
Then when the The separate checks were delivered all the orders were put onto the wrong checks, and then when my friend received her check and put cash in for change, our waiter brought out her change with 20% taken out as a tip for herself already with no receipt!!! We called to complain but DAMN this was a terrible dinner. Awful.
We called and spoke to the manager about about my friend being shorted not provide a receipt, he did not care and we brought it up to him that he did not care he hung up on us. We work in the service industry and this is absolutely unacceptable. Beware of this place!!!
