  • I was an exchange student in Stuttgart, Germany in High School, and fell in love with the local bakeries. So much, I miss the bakeries more than the beer. Baeckerei isn't the exact experience, but the pretzels are the closest to how I remember them. The speciality pretzels are great, and the assorted sweet desserts I've tried have been of the utmost quality. The coffee is basic "industrial", but entirely drinkable. It's a nicer space than it looks: it's comfortable and the outside seating is great. The sidewalks of downtown Kent is a perfectly agreeable place to enjoy a pretzel. I'm entirely unfamiliar with their lunch menu, but the comprehensive quality makes it a "must try".
