| - I just moved from California (the bay area in CA where there's bunch of asian grocery stores/restaurants).
A friend recommended LeeLee to me for asian food.
I was told this place has the best kimchi so I decided to try it out because I love kimchi. The kimchi is the typical kimchi I find at any asian grocery store. It's good but nothing spectacular. It's your decent kimchi, a little spicy and vinegar-y, not super pickle-y or anything.
The store is big and has a wide selection of frozen foods, spices, bowls/dishes, dry foods/snacks, vegetables and meats. I just walked around, I didn't look for anything in particular. I did buy lamb, vegetable dumplings because I think lamb dumplings are delicious (I love lamb in general).
It was price decently, not too expensive or too cheap. Some of the dumplings seem a little bit on the pricer end.
It's not a bad place to get your asian groceries (the produce is cheaper than at Fry's, TJ, etc and the quality seems decent, I haven't bought anything to confirm).
It does have a fishy, stinky smell to the place. The decor makes it look older and not as clean.
(+) It accepts credit cards, I like that. It even took my discover card which is convenient and nice.
(-) I wish it had a hot food section or maybe I missed it.
