I went with 4 other friends.
We ordered two 3-meat plate which had: pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, brisket, sausage, fries, and creamed corn.
appearance: it looked like something you want to return to the kitchen. unappetizing. lifeless.
taste:
all the meats were very dry and mostly bland. it did seem like they were relying folks to smother it with their sauces which you find in each table. the sauce tastes were not bad at all. but the meats leave little to be desired.
the sausage was one of those packed $3-a-dozen type you find in the grocery, there was only one piece and sliced in the middle.
the creamed corns looked and tasted like it came straight out of the can. heated in or outside of it.
one of us also happened to order a portabella mushroom burger. it read blue cheese but we surely got surprised when it was blue cheese dressing. and other than that and the mushroom + bread, there was nothing else.
when we sat down we all ordered beer but was turned down because they still had no alcohol license but their menu certainly had them. disappointment again.
i would have been better off with a microwaved frozen dinner.
Price: each small 3-meat plate costs $17. the two plates + mushroom burger and drink was only tap water = $44.
i don't mind expensive but i felt robbed on this one.
service:
food took too long to serve and the result did not justify it.
the bill took so long that i stood up and went to counter myself.
many items were unavailable.
ambience:
clean but the vibe was rather depressing.
overall:
not a good experience on all counts.
definitely not coming back and not recommending anyone.
